Aperçu, fonctionnalités et détails de l'application

eDistrict UP (edistrict.up.gov.in) est le portail du gouvernement de l'Uttar Pradesh pour les certificats des citoyens — revenus, caste, domicile, naissance et décès — avec demande en ligne via la connexion eSathi, suivi des demandes et vérification des certificats pour les 75 districts.

eDistrict is the Uttar Pradesh government's online service window for the certificates daily life runs on. If a school, a scholarship form or a government job asks you for an income certificate, a caste certificate or a domicile (residence) certificate, this is the portal that issues it. The service runs at edistrict.up.gov.in and covers all 75 districts of UP. The platform was built by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) UP state unit under the National e-Governance Plan.

What you can apply for

The most used services are the revenue certificates: income, caste and domicile. Birth and death certificates, EWS and character certificates and a long list of departmental services sit on the same system. Each service has its own document list — typically identity proof, address proof and a self-declaration — so read the service page before you start and keep clear scans ready.

How applying works

Citizens apply through the eSathi citizen login linked from the portal. You register with your name, date of birth, mobile number and email, create a login ID, then pick the service, fill the form, upload documents and submit. Save the application number you get at the end — it is how you track the file. Revenue certificates go through field verification, which is why they take days rather than minutes. If you would rather not do it yourself, any Jan Seva Kendra (CSC) can file the same application for a small facilitation charge.

Tracking and verification

The portal lets you check application status with your application number, and anyone — an employer, a college, a bank — can verify an issued certificate's authenticity on the same site using the certificate number. That verification step is what makes the digital certificate trustworthy, so never accept a printout whose number does not verify.

Apply early, and keep your papers straight

Two habits save most applicants a second trip. First, apply early. Scholarships, admissions and job forms all tend to demand the same certificates in the same weeks, and field verification cannot be rushed — a file started a month ahead is a certificate in hand when you need it. Second, make sure the name and date of birth on your application match your Aadhaar and school or board records letter for letter. Most rejections on portals like this are spelling mismatches, not eligibility problems, and a rejected file costs you the full processing time again. Keep the acknowledgement slip or a photo of it; offices can trace a file from that number even if you lose everything else.
